How the estimate works
Appliance kWh = (W ÷ 1,000) × quantity × hours/day × days. Household use is the sum of appliance kWh.
Assumptions and limits
Results use the power and schedule entered for each item. Cycling appliances may draw less than their rated input over a full hour.
Example
Two 100 W lamps used 5 hours a day for 30 days use 30 kWh together: 0.1 × 2 × 5 × 30.
