Tile Calculator

Use consistent units for room and tile measurements. The result estimates a simple grid layout.

How the estimate works

Room area = length × width. Tile area = tile length × tile width. Base count = room area ÷ tile area; round up after waste.

Assumptions and limits

The estimate does not model cuts, grout gaps, patterns, damaged tiles or room irregularities. A professional layout may change the purchase quantity.

Example

A 3 m × 4 m room is 12 m². With 0.3 m × 0.3 m tiles, each covers 0.09 m²; add the chosen waste allowance before rounding up.
